Why Video?
Results: Today's "visually literate" society
gets most of its information from television: 90% of Americans
list TV as their primary source of news. Using video to promote
your products or services will give your company a competitive
edge.
Appeal: Video engages the viewer emotionally. Even for businesses,
buying decisions are often made at an emotional level. The
ability to reach a prospect with images and sound can be
incredibly persuasive. (A Wharton School of Business study
shows that video speeds up buying decisions by 72%.
Diversity: Studies show that the vast majority of people
will watch a promotional tape in its entirety (unlike print
material, which most people thumb through). Video can reach
viewers with both visual and auditory learning styles.
Control: Video gives you complete control of the message.
Viewers are presented with only the information you want,
in the exact way you want.
Consistency: Video presents standardized information for
every viewer. A sales person can't always be at his or her
best, but with a video, your sales points are always presented
with the same professionalism and enthusiasm.
Affordability: Videos often cost less to produce than four-color
brochures. New technologies have made video extremely affordable.
Savings: Video saves travel costs. For companies doing business
with distant clients or prospective customers, it's a cost-effective,
alternative way to demonstrate products and communicate.
Versatility: The same video can be used at sales meetings,
trade shows, point-of-purchase displays, for customer training,
and as a Video Brochure.
Dynamic: Video can show a product or facility in action,
by bringing its features and benefits to life
Image: Using video assists organizations in projecting progressive
images.
The Process
Pre-Production
Pre-Production is the planning and coordination phase which
includes the Preliminary Budget & Bid. By this point,
we have assessed your project needs. After one or two meetings
we can provide you with a proposal outlining the purpose
of the video and a cost estimate. This is a "ballpark" figure
based on the estimated days of on-location videotaping,
any graphics/animations that need to be designed, scriptwriting,
music, the number of duplications etc., all have an affect
on the production cost.
This
phase also includes the Script writing & Consulting.
A script includes the talent's lines, the visuals (such as
camera shots, graphics, animation) and any other information
important to the project. The script is the blue print or
road map for the actual video production.
Scriptwriting for video is quite different from other forms
of writing. As opposed to an audiotape or brochure copy,
the video message is carried primarily through the visuals,
not the words.
The pre-production phase is very important - the time spent
pre-planning will save time, money and eliminate hassles
further down the road.
Production
Production includes the actual videotaping where each scene
was determined from the final approved script. - and you'll
be surprised to find out how much time is required to set
up each scene. Our clients have all found that a good production
is the direct result of a proper blend of creativity and
craftsmanship, and rushing the job usually affects the results.
Narration
and soundtrack
The narration and soundtrack phase is when we pre-record
the professional voice-over and mix in the stock music
background selections needed for your production. We also
offer custom music creation on a per project basis.
Graphics and animation
Any graphics and animations are also being created during
the production phase. These include high quality charts,
diagrams, titles, animated logos, objects, or characters
- anything to help convey your message.
Post-Production
The Post Production phase includes the actual Editing of
the productionWe use the script as a blueprint to mix all
the video footage, graphics, titles, animation to the audio
soundtrack to create your final production.
Mastering
and duplication
After you have reviewed your the final project, it will be
mastered to your choice of formats (DVCAM, BetaSP or DigiBeta)
and duplicated to the format you have chosen - VHS, DVD,
CD, or a compressed format for the internet.
